Workplace Bullying and its Relationship to Job Security in the School Education Sector from the Teachers' Perspective

The study aimed to investigate the relationship between workplace bullying (WB) and job security (JS) in the school education sector from the teachers' perspectives in Jordan. The study sample consisted of (1044) male and female teachers who were selected using the convenience sampling method. Two scales were used, one for work bullying and the other for job security. The psychometric properties of the two scale were verified through applying them to a pilot sample. Then they were applied to the main study sample. The results showed a low level of workplace bullying. In addition, the finding showed that the level of job security among the participants were moderate. The results also showed an inverse correlation between workplace bullying and job security. The study concluded with a set of recommendations, perhaps the most important of which are: carrying out further research to address other variables that may affect job security. In addition, focusing on the elements of job security for teachers to retain qualified staff .
