Abstract

Mathematics activity contributes to a crucial part in a child’s life. Therefore, teaching of mathematics to learners aged 3-6 years should be done with a lot of care involving parents and teachers so that learners can gain the appropriate skills, concepts and attitudes related to the activity. The teacher should make use of the best method of teaching and appropriate teaching/ learning materials in order to achieve the intended goals and objectives. This study provides some insights into how parents, caregivers and the community could contribute to teaching of mathematics activity to learners aged 3-6 years.
