Reaching Consensus on “Best Practices” of Professional Development: A Critical Review of Literature
Abstract
Emanating from the different perspectives and philosophies on continuing professional development (CPD), a number of types and models of teacher professional development have been developed and implemented in different countries. The goal has been to promote and support the professional development of teachers from the beginning of their careers until they retire. In this paper, I examine some of the most prominent types of Continuing Professional Development in recent literature.Downloads
